Chapter 10: Exploring Electromagnets
Electromagnets are temporary magnets created by electricity. You can make one by wrapping wire around an iron nail and connecting the wire to a battery. Once the battery is connected, the nail acts like a magnet.
Electromagnets are useful because you can turn them on or off. They are used in many places, like in cranes to lift heavy metal or in speakers to produce sound.
