Metals are great for conducting electricity. This means they allow electrons to pass through easily. Metals have lots of free electrons, which can move quickly through the metal when a circuit is completed.
If you’ve ever seen a copper wire, you’ve seen a good example of an electrical conductor. The electrons in copper move easily, which is why copper is often used to make wires.
