Chapter 6: Insulators – Keeping Electricity in Line
Insulators are materials that don’t let electricity flow through them easily. Think of them like walls that block the electrons. Rubber, plastic, and glass are good insulators. That’s why you might see rubber around wires – it keeps the electricity from escaping.
Insulators protect us by keeping electricity only where it should go. For example, a rubber handle on a screwdriver prevents electricity from traveling up to your hand!
